Location: Mt. Sterling, IL      Department: Dot Transportation, Inc.     Reports To: Trailer Maintenance Manager


Your Role: Safe and efficient repair and maintenance of the company’s fleet of storage and over the road trailers.


  • Diagnosis and repair company fleet of storage and trailers.
  • Maintains proficiency in all aspects of preventative maintenance procedures on company fleet of trailers.
  • Repairs and overhauls brake systems per established guidelines
  • Test, repair, and/or replace trailer and refrigeration components per established guidelines and procedures
  • Assist in compiling and maintaining all documents necessary to comply with the requirements of local, state, and federal regulatory agencies
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.


Role Specifics:

  • Schedule: Tuesday – Saturday 2:30pm – 11pm
  • Extensive standing and/or walking on concrete
  • Temperature extremes (summer and winter conditions) working in both indoor and outdoor weather conditions as required to maintain reefers and associated equipment


We Need You To Have:

  • High School Diploma or general equivalency degree required
  • Ability to lift 75 lbs. as needed and required
  • Sufficient vision and hearing to operate powered equipment safely

We’d Like You To Have:

  • Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) preferred
  • Excellent aptitude in PC/laptop computer skills
