Job Title: PT Dispatch Clerk

Department: Dot Transportation, Inc (DTI)

Location:  Ardmore, OK



  • Reports to a member of Transportation Leadership.
  • Executes work under direction or established procedures 50% of the time; works independently setting work schedule priorities 50% of the time.
  • Does not supervise others.


Primary Purpose:

Performs clerical duties associated with the dispatch department for Dot Transportation, Inc.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Daily phone and email communication with customers, suppliers, and drivers.
  • Assists in making customer and vendor appointments and driver communication.
  • Communicates with drivers on schedules and work assignments.
  • Prepares and organizes necessary paperwork for drivers.
  • Set up and updates operating systems with accurate data.
  • Serves as a backup for various DTI positions.
  • Reduction in waste and recognition of improvement opportunities.

  • High School diploma or general equivalency degree required, four year college degree preferred.
  • Excellent mathematical and reading skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple deadlines.
  • Ability to work well with both internal and external customers.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Strong organizational skills.
