Location: Mt. Sterling, IL Department: Dot Transportation, Inc (DTI) Reports To: Sr. Transportation Manager


Your Role: Responsible for supervising all driver activity and managing freight movements through driver work assignments and schedules.  Coordinating all product movements to customers, suppliers, distribution centers, and custom hauls through the efficient management of company resources. 


  • Manage all freight and driver assignments.
  • Adhere to all guaranteed inbound product movements, such as inbound vendor purchase orders for both Dot Foods and internal company transfers
  • Work with other distribution centers sharing resources for effective product movements.
  • Perform specific duties in measuring and reporting driver payroll, service levels, fleet performance, etc.
  • Collaborate with internal and external customers.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.


Role Specifics:

  • Travel – Occasional overnight travel to other company facilities or outside facilities for training. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
  • Schedule – Ability to work flexible hours (weekend, night shift and on-call) based upon facility needs.



We Need You To Have:

  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree
  • Effective communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective planning, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills


We’d Like You To Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of D.O.T., Federal and State regulations for drivers and equipment
  • Working knowledge of federal Hours of Service regulations
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
