Location: Mt. Sterling, Illinois Reports To: Hagel 1891 General Manager / Chef
Your Role: Dishwasher/Kitchen Porter is responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and sanitation of all china flatware, glasses, utensils, and cookware and general restaurant premises.
- Station set up: Set up operation and maintenance of the dish washer. Maintain proper levels of cleaning agents and sanitizers in the machine and in the hand washing area.
- Cleaning: Ensure that all china, flatware, glassware, utensils, and cookware are clean, sanitized properly and stored in the correct locations. Cleaning areas as indicated by the Chef or Manager. This may include public areas of the restaurant, restrooms, banquet areas, trash receptacles, and outside areas.
- Stocking: Assist in the intake, rotation, labeling and proper storage of food stuffs, equipment, and supplies as directed by the Chef.
- General: Assist in the kitchen in any capacity needed as dictated by work load staffing and as directed by the Chef.
