Job Title:  MD Packaging & Shipping Clerk PT

Schedule: TBD ( 25-30 hours a week)


  • Reports to Warehouse Support Manager.
  • Executes work under direct supervision 50% of the time works independently setting work schedule priorities 50% of the time.
  • Does not supervise others.


Primary Purpose:

Process orders that are to be shipped via FedEx, UPS and other carriers as needed.


Essential Responsibilities:

  • Package and re-packages cases and “eaches” to be shipped via small carrier.
  • Send office mail and supplies out via FedEx.
  • General housekeeping of work area.
  • Print package labels and track daily production and shipment information.
  • Maintain and track packaging supplies.
  • Process returns
  • Warehouse shift work as needed, meeting warehouse production standards
  • Applies lean tools and thinking to identify and eliminate waste
  • Follows and applies standard work and work instructions



Occasional Work Performed:

  • Receive and process calls regarding the status of FedEx packages.
  • Release orders, update customer information in computer.

Working Conditions:

  • Indoor work, temperatures may vary from below 0 to above 100 degrees with humidity.
  • Overtime may be required in order to fulfill responsibilities.
  • Extensive standing, walking.



· High school diploma or general equivalency degree required.

· Prior warehouse experience is a plus

· Ability to learn to use shipping computer system, Microsoft Office programs, AS400 and warehouse systems.

· Ability to lift up to 60 pounds continually during shift.

· Ability to lift up to 80 pounds.

· Must meet minimum requirements on pre-employment testing, including physical ability tests.

· Ability to consistently meet minimum production standards and company service levels.

· Must have or obtain Electric Pallet Jack and Narrow Aisle license and forklift certifications during initial training phase.

· Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to operate powered equipment safely.

· Demonstrated ability to safely and productively operate material handling equipment.

· Ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
