Location: Mt. Sterling, IL      Department: Human Resources      Reports To: Occupational Health Director


Your Role: : Perform job duties to prevent injuries, for early pain intervention, and rehab the employee to full duty.


  • Conduct pain consults and safe work observations with current employees
  • Educates employees on work postures, body mechanics, strength and conditioning, and other activities that will reduce the risk of injury
  • Performs physical ability testing on post job-offer applicants
  • Sees scheduled employees to perform for various rehab as ordered and/or indicated
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.


Role Specifics:

  • Schedule: Evening shifts 5 days per week days will vary 5pm-10pm
  • Improve employees’ productivity and livelihood through injury prevention, early pain intervention, and the rehabilitation of injured employees to full duty
  • High level of communication to key departments on employee updates

Travel – Occasional overnight travel to other company facilities or outside facilities for training.  Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car,


We Need You To Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Athletic Training
  • Full-time graduate student in WIU’s Kinesiology program
  • Ability to resolve complex problems and make independent decisions
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable in Microsoft Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, and Word
