  • Overview

    Location: Liverpool, NY       Department: Dot Transportation, Inc (DTI)      Reports To: Operations Management Trainee

     

    Your Role: This position is responsible for controlling, inspecting, recording and tracking truck, trailer, PO, and temperature integrity issues, in addition to assisting Transportation and Warehouse department clerks with assigned tasks.

    1. Yard Check
      • Verify and record trailer information on yard (location, temperature settings, commodity, etc.)
      • Computer data entry as required including AS400, TMW, DC Yard Management, and Microsoft Applications
    2. Reporting
      • Record data
      • Create daily report of findings
      • Correct, in the system, any issues that were found where appropriate
      • Contact appropriate departments with any bigger issues

     

    Role Specifics:

    • Works outside in all weather
    • Works independently during the majority of the shift
    • Occasional assistance with scanning, spreadsheet tracking, paperwork and other assigned projects as needed

    Qualifications

    We Need You To Have:

    • High School Diploma or GED
    • Good verbal & written communication skills
    • Basic computer skills in Microsoft Work & Excel
    • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to communicate positively & effectively with internal & external customers
    • Ability to work independent and as a team

    We’d Like You To Have:

    • College Degree (Associates or Bachelors)
    • The availability to work overtime
    • Work unsupervised
    • Ability to work in all-weather conditions
    • Nights and Weekend scheduled work.
