    Location: Mt. Sterling, IL         Department: Human Resources - Safety        Reports To: Director of Safety

     

    Your Role: Develops, monitors, and provides support to initiatives designed to create and maintain a safe work environment for warehouse employees.

     

    • Daily interaction with warehouse employees on safety-related issues.
    • Conducts employee safety training and the Behavioral Based Safety activities.
    • Tracking and analysis of critical safety data
    • Participates in accident and injury investigations.
    • Benchmarks the performance of the warehouse against established goals.
    • Develops, edits, and updates company protocols for safety-related policies.
    • Conducts internal safety audits at facilities company-wide.
    • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

     

    Role Specifics:

    •         Schedule – Full time, 40 hours weekly, occasional night and weekend work as needed
    •         Travel – Overnight travel (10-15 nights per year) to company locations or to attend seminars and meetings to

               develop professional expertise. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all

               modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

    Qualifications

    We Need You To Have:

    • Bachelor’s degree in safety or related field or equivalent Dot Foods experience.
    • Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
    • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.
    • Strong analytical and organizational skills.
    • Experience in team facilitation and individual/team training environments.

    We’d Like You To Have:

    • 2 years of safety experience.
    • Experience in accident investigation.
    • Experience in providing group presentations.
    • Ability to interact well with employees at all levels of the organization.
