    Location: Mt. Sterling, IL      Department: Based on student interest/major      Reports To: Department Supervisor

     

    Your Role: This partnership between Quincy University, a nationally recognized College of Distinction, and Dot Foods, Inc. offers select Sophomore and Freshmen students the opportunity to explore promising future careers with Dot Foods, one of the nation's largest privately-held companies.

     

    • Training and job shadowing within departments relating to your field of study
    • Leadership/ownership of given project(s) in assigned department(s)
    • Problem-definition, research, data collection, analysis to determine best processes and methods for problem-solving
    • Review, update, and track a variety of reports
    • Present project information at the culmination of projects or semesters to communicate research, findings, analysis, and any recommendations.
    • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

     

    Role Specifics:

    • Ability to work over a minimum of two semesters
    • Ability to work from Dot Foods Corporate Headquarters as well as the Student Success Center on campus

    Qualifications

    We Need You To Have:

     

    • Full-time Sophomore or Freshman student in good standing actively pursuing a business-related degree at Quincy University.  Sophomore status preferred.
    • Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0
    • Ability to work diligently with little supervision

     

    We’d Like You To Have:

    • Ability to manager multiple projects and priorities
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs
    • Effective, professional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
