    Location: Mt. Sterling, IL  Department: Equipment Maintenance  Reports To: Machine Maintenance Supervisor


    Your Role: This position is responsible for preventative maintenance and repairs of all automated systems.  Supports electrical, mechanical and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) functions of the automated systems.  Repairs mechanical conveyors, compressed air systems, wrappers, battery changing equipment, transtackers, pallet sorting equipment and automated cranes.


    • Troubleshoot Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programs associated with automated systems
    • Perform preventative maintenance inspections, cleaning, repairs, adjustments and lubrication on all automated systems, wrappers and pallet sorting equipment on-time without disrupting production.
    • Maintain daily communication with warehouse operations staff and other technicians to ensure equipment needs are met and do not disrupt production.
    • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste


    Role Specifics:

    • Full time; Wednesday - Saturday 6:30am – 5:00pm
    • Working in -5 to 95 degree temperatures for extended timeframes
    • Working at heights
    • Subject to mandatory overtime and on call schedules



    We Need You To Have:

    • High school diploma or general equivalency degree
    • Valid driver’s license
    • Sufficient vision and hearing necessary to perform duties safely
    • Associate’s degree, certificate or military equivalent
    • PLC (Allen-Bradley) troubleshooting experience
    • Experience with material handling automation

    We’d Like You To Have:

    • Mechanical, hydraulic and electrical experience
    • Three or more years of industrial maintenance experience
    • Experience troubleshooting various electrical systems using schematics and wiring diagrams
    • Forklift, wrapper and other material handling equipment maintenance experience
