Overview

Location: Vidalia, GA                Department: Warehouse Operations               Reports To: DC General Manager

 

Your Role: This position involves the day-to-day management of various operational sup-departments as well as working with the rest of the management team to drive results with operational flow for both warehouse and DTI.

  • Manage all aspects of our Food Safety program.
  • Coordinates monthly work schedules and audits.
  • Oversees personnel development, including evaluations and training plans.
  • Develops, analyzes, and reinforces appropriate sub-department policies.
  • Works directly with Director of Warehouse and Warehouse managers on planning and managing workflow.
  • Budgets for various operational sup-departments.
  • Maintains safe workplace actions/ conditions for self and co-workers.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean tools and thinking to identify and eliminate waste.

 

Role Specifics:

  • Supervision – Oversees various operational sup-departments.
  • Travel – Approx. 3-5 times per year to company meetings and planning events. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

Qualifications

We Need You To Have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent Dot Foods’ experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Aptitude for budget development and business analysis.
  • Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs.

We’d Like You To Have:

  • Previous successful leadership experience.
  • Willingness to pursue opportunities for ongoing education and acquire knowledge to increase skills especially in Food Safety.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret statistical data.
  • Ability to work with/incorporate changes quickly, efficiently, and accurately.
  • Product integrity investigation and support experience.
