Your Role:  To further develop Dot’s internal auditing processes by performing a risk assessment and developing an annual audit plan.  You will periodically assist in updating the internal audit charter, and then conduct internal audits of key processes and significant transactions in order to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, suggest areas for improvement, and mitigate risks.  You will have a focus on operations, finance, compliance, and risk management in all areas of the business.

  • Execute annual audit plan approved by the Audit Committee, and report findings and recommendations
  • Perform overall companywide risk assessment and determine priority areas of focus
  • Perform specific operational, financial, and systems audit procedures and document results
  • Complete annual lean compliance audits and financial audits of completed lean projects
  • Evaluate all audit information, including, but not limited to, transactions, documents, data records and reports for accuracy and reasonableness
  • Identify major risks and evaluate effectiveness of existing controls, while recommending improvements
  • Assess follow up and compliance with changes in process and internal controls
  • Oversee and coordinate management responses to audit outcomes
  • Coordinate with external audit teams regarding field work
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the business

Role Specifics:

  • Travel: Regular overnight travel, averaging 3 nights per month to Dot distribution centers, company meetings, and trainings/conferences.

Location: Mt. Sterling, IL          Department: Payroll          Reports To: Director of Benefits and Compensation

 

Your Role: Maintains payroll related accounts and is responsible for the reconciliation of multiple accounts within Dot’s accounting system. Performs various functions in order to meet internal and external customer expectations including timely and accurate closing of the accounting periods, managerial reporting, and budget preparation.

 

  • Analyzes salary and benefit expenses in comparison to budget for management.
  • Reports on hours, headcount, payroll, and employment tax credits.
  • Assists in compensation administration such as wage surveys, compensation analysis, and ad hoc reporting for compensation committees.
  • General Ledger account reconciliation as it pertains to payroll, benefits, and payroll tax liability accounts.
  • Assists in compiling information for Total Compensation Statements for employees.
  • Assists in bonus and incentive plan computations as well as the payroll budgeting process.
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

 

Role Specifics:

  •  Travel – Occasional overnight travel for off-site trainings and meeting. Must have ability to travel

      independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

Your Role: As a member of the Pricing team, the margin analyst interacts with many Dot departments, such as business development, customer service and replenishment, as well as our manufacturer partners. You will play a key role in the profitability of our financial programs, including active gross margin management of 80 manufacturer programs, on average. Additionally, you will work with other team members to meet individual and team deadlines and objectives.

 

  • Implement manufacturer and Dot-driven pricing changes.
  • Manage the on-going accuracy of financial programs through daily review of margin reports and research of any potential problems
  • Proactively communicate any pricing changes to our sales teams and customers.
  • Facilitate the set-up of new items, including item master data, product descriptions and financial programs.

Your Role: Responsible for supporting collections research and evaluation on prospective and current Dot Foods customers.

 

  • Reviews prospective and existing customers; analyzing and evaluating credit worthiness of each account.
  • Effectively communicate changes in credit with appropriate customers.
  • Execute credit limit methodology and complete assigned number of credit limit reviews each period.
  • Conduct detailed investigations into customer bank relationships, financial statements, and trade references.
  • Review industry periodicals for information relating to Dot’s customers.
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

 

Role Specifics:
