Your Role:  Responsible for vendor development and management, product sourcing and category management for a specific group of Savor imported product

 

  • Develop sourcing and category strategies based on financial and growth expectations, customer needs, product trends, and competitive landscape
  • Align and manage product pricing to Savor’s brand strategy
  • Manage vendor relationships and sourcing strategies to maximize profitability
  • Meet company inventory and service level objectives
  • Develop and coordinate communication, education and sales initiatives to motivate sales behavior
  • Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position

 

 

Role Specifics:

  • Full-time; Monday-Friday. May require 5-10 hours of work per week during non-traditional work hours due to international time zone differences.
  • Ability to independently travel as needed (50-65 nights per year of international travel), without restriction, by all modes of transportation, including car, plane or train for customer/vendor calls, training or meetings

Your Role: Responsible for building and enhancing strong relationships with our suppliers by communicating and educating all people at the supplier about all aspects of Dot Foods and influencing behavior.  Also, responsible for managing all financial aspects of our program, and being the key contact for all internal departments with your suppliers.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with supplier partners, and penetrate key areas such as sales, supply chain, CFO, President and CEO.
  • Influence that supplier to maximize volume, net margin and quality.
  • Utilizing all the various marketing tools Dot has to promote the supplier’s products.
  • Budgeting and achieving volume, gross and net margin goals for each supplier.
  • Ongoing communication to all internal departments regarding all aspects of the supplier.
  • Presentations to small and large groups on the features and benefits of Dot Foods.
  • Travel with Dot Sales Managers to gain better understanding of our customers’ needs and wants.
  • Applies lean thinking to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the supply chain.

 

Role Specifics:

  • Travel: 5-8 nights per month for off-site meetings, industry / Trade Show events. Must be able to travel independently without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

Your Role: The Dot Expressway is a B2B ecommerce site that connects thousands of food industry buyers and manufacturers each day. With constant focus on user experience, the Ecommerce Merchandiser serves as our business lead for product categories. This includes prioritizing categories for merchandising based on business need, user feedback or potential sales; position categories within our offering and benchmark our approach to merchandising against ecommerce peers and leaders.

 

  • Research, establish and maintain assigned item category/sub-category taxonomy
  • Collaborate with Sales, Business Development, and Master Data to effectively merchandise assigned categories on the Dot Expressway
  • Establish/maintain landing pages for distributor segments (grocery, foodservice, convenience etc), operator/retailer segments (fine-dining, bar/tavern, fast-casual, etc.), and for new, featured, promotional, and other categories as assigned.

Your Role:  Support the Branding & Creative Services Department with the creation of copy for a variety of marketing and communications materials.

 

  • Create and edit materials and documents including, but not limited to, e-mails, web copy, flyers, advertisements, video scripts, brochures, presentations, etc.
  • Collaborate with Brandings & Creative Services team members and others in all levels of the organization to ensure copy is compelling and customized to meet the needs of the business.
  • Collect, maintain and update data for annual publications.
  • Create content that adheres to Dot’s stylebook and corporate brand voice.

Report to the Sales Recruiting and Training Manager and join a small team of other Associate District Sales Managers.

 

Associate Sales Program:

Weekly Group Training Sessions, Individual Learning/Exploring, Role Plays, Sales Ride Alongs = 40%

Supplier Telemarketing Campaign Execution = 60%

 

Your Role:

The program length varies based on your current level of experience but is a minimum of 6 months.  During your onboarding time, you will absorb company knowledge, understand the food supply chain and enhance professional sales skills.  Your goal is to become a Dot Foods District Sales Manager (DSM).  Our District Sales Managers are consultants to our existing 4,000 distributor customer base.  There is no cold calling.  DSM’s continue to build those relationships and solve problems in order to increase the business we do with them.

 

A Day in the Life:

Onboarding Process

  • Shadow current DSM’s and other positions including warehouse, transportation, customer service and replenishment to gain first-hand experience
  • Participate group training sessions to learn various techniques and functions of the DSM
  • Participate in multiple role play scenarios to practice skills and demonstrate progress to management
  • Learn our supplier offering and other supply chain terminology
  • Present on various training topics to other associates

Supplier Telemarketing Campaigns

  • You will be executing marketing campaigns on the behalf of supplier partners including many of the most recognizable food brands in the world.
  • Check in with customers via email and/or phone to provide value to them and grow their business

Success will be visible in improved results, both quantitative and qualitative, evidenced by increased user adoption, higher conversion rates and improved user satisfaction. You will make decisions influenced by data, collaborate with departments across the business including ecommerce, digital marketing, master data, sales, customer service, business development and brand marketing.

  • Oversees project management and design optimization testing as well as future UI/UX functional development.
  • Leads the user feedback collection practice.
  • Understands where information architecture and front-end design intersect, and uses it to deliver differentiated experiences that drive loyalty with customers.
  • Responsible for visual design, from initial development to ongoing refinement in ecommerce channel.
  • Provides information architecture leadership.
  • Involved in interaction design, including multi-system user flows.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.
