Location: Chesterfield, MO or Remote (Central/East Region)    Department: Sales    Reports To: Director of National Accounts

 

Your Role: Increase Dot’s visibility, acceptance and case sales with Commercial and Non-Commercial National Accounts. This will be accomplished through working with National Account headquarters, Suppliers, and Distributors. Roughly 80% of time will be spent with National Account headquarters and 20% on Supplier and Distributor work.

  • Call on/ educate National Account Headquarters contacts.
  • Gain approval for Dot to handle National Account proprietary items.
  • Generate volume opportunities for Dot via National Account Headquarter calls
  • Call on multi-unit management of distributors who have dedicated resource for multi-unit business
  • Attend industry specific conferences/meetings
  • Applies lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.

 

Role Specifics:

  • Travel – Approximately 6 nights per month, on average. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.

Supervision:

Report to the Sales Recruiting and Training Manager and join a small team of other Associate District Sales Managers.

 

Associate Sales Program:

Weekly Group Training Sessions, Individual Learning/Exploring, Role Plays, Sales Ride Alongs = 40%

Supplier Telemarketing Campaign Execution = 60%

 

Your Role:

The program length varies based on your current level of experience but is a minimum of 6 months.  During your onboarding time, you will absorb company knowledge, understand the food supply chain and enhance professional sales skills.  Your goal is to become a Dot Foods District Sales Manager (DSM).  Our District Sales Managers are consultants to our existing 4,000 distributor customer base.  There is no cold calling.  DSM’s continue to build those relationships and solve problems in order to increase the business we do with them.

 

A Day in the Life:

Onboarding Process

  • Shadow current DSM’s and other positions including warehouse, transportation, customer service and replenishment to gain first-hand experience
  • Participate group training sessions to learn various techniques and functions of the DSM
  • Participate in multiple role play scenarios to practice skills and demonstrate progress to management
  • Learn our supplier offering and other supply chain terminology
  • Present on various training topics to other associates

Supplier Telemarketing Campaigns

  • You will be executing marketing campaigns on the behalf of supplier partners including many of the most recognizable food brands in the world.
  • Check in with customers via email and/or phone to provide value to them and grow their business

Your Role: The Dot Expressway is a B2B ecommerce site that connects thousands of food industry buyers and manufacturers each day.  With constant focus on delighting customers, the User Experience (UX) Designer will lead us on information architecture, visual design and user navigation across digital channels, including ecommerce and digital marketing. Success will be visible in improved results, both quantitative and qualitative, evidenced by increased user adoption, higher conversion rates and improved user satisfaction. You will make decisions influenced by data, collaborate with departments across the business including ecommerce, digital marketing, master data, sales, customer service, business development and brand marketing.

  • Oversees project management and design optimization testing as well as future UI/UX functional development.
  • Leads the user feedback collection practice.
  • Understands where information architecture and front-end design intersect, and uses it to deliver differentiated experiences that drive loyalty with customers.
  • Responsible for visual design, from initial development to ongoing refinement in ecommerce channel.
  • Provides information architecture leadership.
  • Involved in interaction design, including multi-system user flows.
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.

 

Role Specifics:

  • Travel – Occasional overnight travel to internal and industry events. Must have ability to travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train.
